STEMZ for Healthcare/Rehab
Collaborators Sought to Assess STEMZ as a Rehabilitation / Therapeutic Aid
Initial positive feedback from several healthcare professionals has led us to recognise the potential of STEMZ as a rehabilitation and therapeutic aid.
Some of the potential benefits of STEMZ in this setting include-
Great for patients to use unsupervised
Compelling to use due to inherently motivating fidget quality
Safe and comfortable with no sharp edges
Creative: Patients can actually make something!
Open-ended: Patients have creative autonomy if they so choose
Not as limited to muscle rehab as putty, allowing for greater focus on coordination, fine motor skills, and force-feedback sensation
Hygienic and extremely reusable- Can be sterilised in boiling water
Clean- Doesn’t get stuck in the carpet (unlike putty)
